<< October 22:
Another 180 dessert at the Jack!  However, not a *perfect* 6-judge 180, so it landed in fourth place.  Nevertheless, we're very pleased to have another little Jack statue come home with us, to join his brothers.

>> September 5:
RnQ finally gets the hang of
cooking on blistering blacktop in
Mesquite, Nevada, turning in 3rd
Ribs and 1st Brisket for overall
Reserve Grand Champion.

<< August 8:
For the fourth consecutive year, Rhythm 'n QUE will compete in the Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational Barbecue.  Confirmed today, RnQ's Grand Championship in Boise, ID met all criteria as the only qualifying contest in that state and provided the golden ticket.  We'll see you in Lynchburg!

>> July 23:
Back to beautiful Ann Morrison Park for the 2nd Annual Boise Music Festival, where RnQ repeated as
Grand Champion.

<< July 2:
Up to beautiful Williams, AZ to escape the heat!  At the 2nd Annual Northern Arizona BBQ Festival, RnQ turned in 1st chicken, 2nd ribs, 10th pork and 7th brisket and were
Grand Champion.
Oh, and there were first place dessert and potato salad entries too.  All in all, a pretty good day at the office!

>> May 14:
At the 33rd Annual YCCA Home
& Garden Show and 1st Annual
BBQ Cook-Off, RnQ threw down
7th Chicken, 1st Ribs, 1st Pork
and 5th Brisket to secure our 20th
Grand Champion in three years.

<< March 26:
Picture-perfect weather and ten thousand BBQ fans were on hand for the 2nd Annual Arizona BBQ Festival, where RnQ was Reserve Grand Champion.  Photo with Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane courtesy of Rick Phillips.  Check out our radio interview on Into the Soup at the 15:15 mark!

>> Happy New Year!
"Start out as you mean to go on" -- and Rhythm 'n QUE did just that
at the second Tom's Farm contest in Wildomar, CA on New Year's Day.
RnQ turned  in 1st Ribs, 2nd Pork and 1st Brisket (with a score of 177!)
to rack up a 22-point margin and start out 2011 as
Grand Champion.

That's right, for a few shining moments we're the #1 team in BBQ for 2011 -- at least until Lakeland rolls around!

Year's End 2010

There they are, our own little lineup of monoliths, the awards for KCBS
Team of the Year categories.  Rhythm 'n QUE finished in 7th place Overall
among a field of over 4000 scored teams, and 10th in chicken, 7th in ribs,
7th in pork and 15th in brisket.  There aren't many teams in the country that
have a matched set of five of these this year, and we're quite proud of ours.

Here's the collection from the 2010 season, or at least a good part of it.
27 contests in 9 states
8 Grand Champions:  Scottsdale, AZ; Rock Springs, AZ; Boulder City, NV; Pueblo, CO; Williams, AZ; Boise, ID; Midwest City, OK; Buckeye, AZ
6 Reserve Grand Champions:  Chandler, AZ; Durango, CO; Vista, CA;
Valley Center, CA; Lancaster, CA; Tucson, AZ
11 additional Top Ten finishes, 9 in the top five
Not pictured:  the priceless memories gained
along the way, spending time with our fellow teams.

2010 World Champion

Welcome to the online home of RHYTHM 'N QUE !

Based in Phoenix, Arizona, RHYTHM 'N QUE ventures from the Ninth Ring of Hell into BBQ heaven by beating a nine-state path to KCBS-sanctioned BBQ contests -- Arizona, Nevada, California, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Oklahoma and Tennessee in 2010.

With three full seasons of competition now behind us, we've gone up against the big boys and their fancy top-dollar rigs with our backyard equipment and homemade rubs, and brought home some hardware and great memories.

Browse around, follow some links, learn a little, even email us (but be prepared to hear far more about BBQ than you ever really wanted to know).

Thanks, Dad.
